About us

Dear readers/students, 

My name is James Jewell and I'm a qualified Teacher of English. I specialise in teaching students with English as a second language. I qualified in 2012 and have enjoyed teaching many different students in Malaysia for the past year. I moved from England to live and travel around South East Asia to accompany my partner. She is also a qualified teacher with 7+ years experience. Her specialised field is in Primary Education. She also teaches many students with English as a second language. Together, we are here offering our expertise to you ONLINE. 

Since I've been teaching, I've found that my students really appreciated my support in offering them advice about where they can find extra information online to help them with their revision. So, I decided to promote my business online. By writing and updating my blog frequently with tips, advice and other great resources that I have found from the world wide web, my students can now have more from me than just their one to one lessons.

The launch for 1StepEnglish online is new and started in January 2013. 

I am incredibly excited and making great resources for all my students as we speak.
